Who we are
This website is operated by Vallo Jõeorg, a private individual in Estonia (“we”). Contact: hello@handyqrcode.com. We are the data controller for this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Codes are generated in your browser
The QR code and barcode generator runs entirely in your browser. The text you type, the CSV files you open and the codes you create are processed on your own device and are not sent to us or anyone else. Downloads (PNG, SVG, ZIP) and print sheets are also created locally. Images you open in the QR code reader are read on your device in the same way and are never uploaded.
The only thing the site stores is which tab you last used (single code or batch), saved in your browser's local storage so the page opens where you left off. This is strictly necessary for that convenience and contains no personal data. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web server, the host processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the requested page in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse (legal basis: our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you. All scripts are served from this website itself; no third-party code libraries are loaded.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
To keep the generator free, this site may show ads through Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, measure them, and (if you agree) personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through a consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) before any non-essential cookies are used. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use less data.
- While ads are active, you can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the “Privacy settings” link in the footer of every page.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage personalised ads in Google Ads Settings.
Ads never have access to the codes or files you work with on this page.
Google may transfer data outside the EU. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for such transfers.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they use. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across websites. We only see totals, such as page views, referring websites, countries and device types, never individual visitors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the address above. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Estonia this is the Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), www.aki.ee.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
